Essential Parenting

Dear Parents,

Nurturing your kids can be both stressful and rewarding at the same time. We would like to share with you some parenting events and resources that are available to help you while you embark on this parenting journey.

With the success and postive feedback on the parenting seminars and a forum theatre at the MOE ExCEL FEST 2013, the organisers have uploaded some useful videos online! Do catch these videos online if you were unable to go to these events. Huamin Primary has been featured in one of these videos too! Watch the video "ExcelFest 2013 Highlights" to catch a glimpse of our pupils, staff and Vice-Principal, Mrs Corinne Kwan at these timings, 1:31 and 1:43.

Be equipped with more parenting tips with the new parenting guide "Essential Parenting Resource Kit". This resource kit comes in a set of booklets whereby contents are tailored according to parenting at various stages of their children's growth, from toddlers to teenagers. If you prefer to be engaged in parenting talks, sign up for talks in July with FAMILY matters!

Lastly, Primary One Registration Exercise is back! Many parents with six-year olds may feel anxious and unsure about this process. It is understandable. Don't worry, if you are not sure and new to this process, here are Primary One-related resources that provides an overview of the primary education, tips on factors to consider when choosing a primary school and tips to help prepare your child for Primary One! More news about MOE can be found in our regular bulletin.

Warm regards,
Mr Edmund Lim W.K.
